The owner came home and disrupted my sleep,

By taking my blanket to warm stinky feet.

      And then when I asked,

For a small bit of food,

      My person just smiled,

      And made mindless "coos."

     Dissapointed I walked,

To the bed where I sleep,

     Only to be tackled,

     And away I leaped.

     Then when done bathing,

     Satisfied with a yawn,

Accused of a dump I was,

     Then thrown on the lawn.

     When finally pity,

     They took on poor me,

     Coursely they rubbed me,

     which they call petting.

     Do they not appreciate

     All that I do?

'Cause all they do's pet me

      And don't give me food.

I slave for them night and day,

    Trying to be cute,

And yet the thanks I get

     Is merely pursuit.

     I want to be alone!

     Can't they understand

     It's the simplest thing.

     And Oh! I want ham.

So I walked to the couch,

      and what might I find?

     The little one waiting,

      For me with some pie.

      The kind with some chicken,

      And carrots and peas,

      And then they allowed me

      To sleep on their knees.

      So maybe I'm wrong,

      Perhaps they're not bad.

      But ideas soon change

      When awoke from a nap.
